Once upon a time...
Western City
More than 60 years ago, in 1962, Western City was born. Alexis Luthers goes around the country in quest of a ranch for his son Richard, who wants to live there and welcome tourists. You guessed it... A wonderful place in Chaudfontaine was chosen by the horseman. In six months time, the place is turned into a small village with a saloon.
On August 8th 1962, Western City becomes an authentic West American village, and opens its doors for tourists to enjoy on August 31st. It's the very first ranch in Wallonia!
Step by step, the village grows: big Westerners meetings take place there, films are shot, stars like Jacques Brel visit...
In 1993, Nicole Taquet takes over, and becomes the sherrif of Western City. She gives a rejuvenation to the place, with shows all year long and a warm welcome to guests in wonderful accomodations designed and decorated by herself. Come and discover this magic place with your family, your partner or with friends!
